Maria Parra is a Fort Wayne native who attended Elmhurst High School and received a Bachelors of Science in Business from Florida State University. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington where she received an MBA with a specialty in Management Information System. While living on the east coast after her graduate study she worked for such companies as IBM, C.S. First Boston, QVC in Philadelphia, PA and New York, NY as an Information Technology Professional. She relocated back to her hometown of Fort Wayne during the mid-90s to be near her family and helped her father in his Mexican restaurant called Parra's. While in Fort Wayne, Maria also worked as independent contractor in the technology field for such companies as Computerland, Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. |
